Hey there! Thanks for stopping by my blog. I hope you find some of the information shared here to be helpful and inspiring on your own journey towards feeding yourself and your loved ones in a healthful and sustainable way.

The inspiration for this blog comes from the learnings I uncover about our food system while I pursue a Masters degree in Public Health Nutrition at UC Berkeley. My goal is to promote sustainable diets which have low environmental impact and contribute to food and nutrition security in order to ensure a healthful life for present and future generations. I believe in a food system that is protective and respectful of biodiversity and ecosystems, culturally acceptable, accessible, economically fair and affordable; nutritionally adequate, safe and healthy; and optimizes natural and human resources. I know it’s possible, and my aim is to do my part to help make it so.

When not busy being a grad student, I can often be found traipsing through the beautiful hills surrounding the Bay Area or barefoot dancing to the drums and rhythms of a local Brazilian cultural arts center.
